Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using our services. These terms form the basis of the contract between LTJ Transport and our customers.

These terms and conditions govern all vehicle transportation services provided by LTJ Transport, operated by Tony Jefferies, trading as LTJ Transport, Essex, United Kingdom. By requesting or accepting our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Definitions

In these terms, "LTJ Transport", "we", "us" and "our" refers to Tony Jefferies trading as LTJ Transport. "Customer", "you" and "your" refers to the individual or business requesting our services. "Vehicle" refers to the car, van, motorcycle or other vehicle to be transported. "Job" refers to any single collection and delivery instruction accepted by LTJ Transport.

2. Scope of Services

LTJ Transport provides specialist vehicle transportation services including open transport, classic and high-value car transport, dealership collections and deliveries, salvage and non-runner recovery, and auction house transport. All services are subject to availability and operational conditions.

We reserve the right to decline any job at our sole discretion, including where the vehicle condition, location, or customer conduct presents unreasonable risk.

3. Quotes and Booking

All quotes are provided based on the information supplied by the customer at the time of enquiry. Quotes are valid for 7 days unless otherwise stated. A quote does not constitute a confirmed booking. Confirmation is given only when we have agreed a date and time with the customer.

Prices may be revised if the vehicle description, condition, or collection/delivery location differs materially from that described at the time of quoting.

5. Non-Running and Salvage Vehicles

For vehicles that are non-running, damaged, or SORN, you must disclose the full extent of immobility or damage at the time of booking. Failure to do so may result in additional charges or refusal of service on arrival.

LTJ Transport is not liable for any pre-existing damage to non-running or salvage vehicles that is not documented at the time of collection.

6. Collection and Delivery

Estimated collection and delivery times are given in good faith but are not guaranteed. LTJ Transport will not be liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, mechanical issues, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If no authorised person is available to accept delivery at the agreed time, we reserve the right to charge for a re-delivery or storage at a reasonable daily rate.

7. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the job unless a prior credit arrangement has been agreed in writing. We accept bank transfer and cash. Invoices not settled within 14 days may be subject to a late payment charge.

For trade customers and dealerships, monthly account terms may be available subject to agreement.

8. Liability and Insurance

LTJ Transport carries comprehensive motor trade insurance. In the event of damage caused by our negligence during transportation, we will work with you to resolve the claim through our insurer.

Our liability in any event is limited to the reasonable cost of repair or the market value of the vehicle at the time of damage, whichever is lower.

9. Cancellation

You may cancel a confirmed booking at any time. If cancellation is made with less than 24 hours' notice, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the agreed job price to cover costs already incurred.

We reserve the right to cancel a job in exceptional circumstances. In such cases, we will provide as much notice as possible and will not charge a cancellation fee.

If you are dissatisfied with our service, please contact us in the first instance at tony@ltjtransport.co.uk or by calling 07855 416 087. We aim to acknowledge all complaints within 2 working days and resolve them within 14 days.

11. Data Protection

We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR. By using our services, you acknowledge that we will process your personal data as described in that policy.

12. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be published on our website. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
